Westerville Christian Church has the amazing opportunitiy to go on Mission Trips to the Mushayamunda Village in Zimbabwe. ‘Go’ is one of four values within our church roadmap.

ZimKids, is an anchor ministry of MCDF. This organization extends the dream of education to children who have been orphaned or negatively impacted by AIDS or extreme poverty. To accomplish this dream, MCDF seeks to partner with like-minded people and churches or organizations as sponsors. For less than a dollar a day, sponsors select a specific child to educate for one year.

ZimKids sponsorship is $330 per year for each child sponsored. This fee provides a school uniform, school supplies, the actual education, and a protein-packed drink, but above all, it provides hope to the hopeless and literally changes the trajectory of these children’s lives.

Would you like to sponsor a child? Sponsorships begin in the summer as each sponsor is matched with a child. Sponsorship decisions are made annually, however the hope is that sponsors will renew their commitment. Continuity in sponsorship is so important to these children, so that they can continue the education they started but more importantly so they can feel hopeful, loved and encouraged about their future.
